Make Blank Annual Journal

Select any year between 2013 and 2028 and this macro wil create a Journal for you. Each month is a section, and each month has a page per day, There is also a calendar tab that you can use the "Insert Calendar" macro to fill (I may later extend the macro to do that automatically, and also remove the New Section that is created when you open a new notebook). Future years extensions are a matter of adding a handful of new statements in the macro, but everything in OneNote may have changed by then, so I'll defer that one for now.

The "make annual journal" is a wonderful tool that I was so happy to discover. Thank you for creating it.
How it works: You open up a notebook, you select home, you select insert annual Journal, it asks you to specify a year, you provide the year and it creates entries for each month of that year starting with January. So you will see entries that says January, February, March, etc.
The issue:
If you used this in 2024 and want to use it again in 2025 you get a file naming issue and blank pages. Why? because the tool can not create a second section called January, February, March, April, etc.
The Fix:
Modify Onetastic to create month section pages that include both the Month and the Year in the section name. So the sections for 2024 become January_2024, Feb_2024, etc. And then when you create new Journal Entires for 2025 the section names are January_2025, February_2025, etc.
Manual Fix:
Without a change to the Onetastic Macros, one can go in and manually modify the section pages for each month by adding the appropriate year to the month name. Once each of the months has been renamed by adding _2024 to the month name I can go in and run the macro for my new year.
Possible Added Feature:
I would like to have a section for each year and then have subsections divided by month and then individual pages for each day. That may not be possible unless you created a Journal notebook for each year but it is worth discussing.

Wow, what a tremendous tool. I have been looking for this for ages. I just heard about Onetastic. What a wonderful suite of add ins to one of my favorite tools - One Note.

To provide context, I have been hand-entering my daily journal entries for the last few years. I thought, wouldn't it be great if someone offered this?

Then I found the Onetastic tool that will do this for a month or a year. What a dream come true.

Thank you, Onetastic!!!
